Godbear, Lithium ID, Reason for Existence, Deadones USA,
Embrace the Kill & MDC
Tuesday, May 12th at The Cretin Hop

godbear19 Lines of Punk from the Cretin MDC Show

1) Godbear was loud as usual but still owned it for being late and almost starting without their drummer!

2) Godbear also claims that they are from Oklahoma...I think it was the Western Wear and the Cowboy hats.

3) T.C. Should of made a drink called the MDC that consisted of Mad Dog and Champagne!

4) T.C. is a badass because he sticks to a time schedule, I hate when shows start late and there is a 40 minute wait in-between bands.

reason for existence5) Godbear rocks for throwing buttons into the crowd, glad someone didn't loose an eye and sad I didn't get one.

6) According to T.C. The Cretin Hop is like the Make Wish Foundation, Godbear's wish was to open for MDC and T.C. made it happen - I am so going to hell for repeating that.

7) Hayden Idaho's Lithium ID rocked Bad Religion for the crowd... you-da-ho (as Matty would say).

8) The mosh pit looked like a giant blender since all the punk rockers had silver studs on their clothes. I asked and I guess it is quite the process to get them on your clothes. I wish I had patience to do it, it looks nifty!

9) As the singer from Spokane's Reason For Existence said "You don't have to dress punk to like it."

10) Reason For Existence killed it, letting kids grab microphones and singing along. The singer even got smacked in the face with a mic and still went on. Very Impressive.

11) Deadones USA, sounded super clear and the music was tight. I guess T.C. is not in the band but that's okay because they are fucking fantastic.

MDC12) T.C. once again, made me laugh with his witty humor "It usually helps to go in the same direction in the mosh pit."

13) The mosh pit had a loyalty in it, kids were helping kids out all there to have a good time.If you fell everyone was there to pick you up.

14) Embrace the Kill has the most animated metal singer I have ever seen, all the piercings on his face must of highlighted his crazy movements.

15) The drummer of Embrace the Kill is not only as fast as the speed of light but he is an intense growler/singer, very deep ear shaking vocals. Very Cool.

16) MDC started 30 years ago and the songs are still relevant today, it amazes Matty and me.

17) The front man for Millions of Dead Cops reminds me of Iggy Pop, they both are crazy mother fuckers on stage. They put on a wild set, all while the audience was screaming out songs for them to play.

18) How can you not spend (at max) $12 to go see 5 bands and 1 punk rock band that has been around longer then you were probably alive. It was a very cool night and it is always fun to go to the Cretin!

19) Spokane Punk is defiantly alive and rollin'. Watch out for the Hogs!
