We drove over to the Blvd on Monday and were a little nervous to find such a good parking spot. Well it was just luck because for a Monday the Blvd was pretty well attended. A.A. Bondy must be doing something right! The first thing I thought when I heard him sing was how smooth the band sounded. It reminded me of a soft breeze running through satin; it just melted your ear buds. The speakers weren't too loud or low in the room either it was perfectly hypnotizing.
Not every note of the music was as mellow as I make it out to be, there was definitely aggressive build up with a breaking point. They rocked too. A.A. Bondy played solo and with his band, regardless it was intelligent. A.A. Bondy even made the harmonica sound debonair. The crowd was respectfully mellow and took in every note of the music. It was a cool show and an intimate experience that I would love to see again and again.
