It's not everyday you get two singers with one instrument, The Scene Aesthetic is a simple set Eric and Andrew with an acoustic guitar. Surprisingly it didn't sound too bad. Andrew strummed on his guitar with his pop-punk vocals and Eric followed along with his mellow melodies. What caught my attention most about this duo was how they "warmed up" with the first 45 seconds of Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen and honestly it sounded pretty good. After playing a few tracks and swooning the fifteen year old girls in the front row this romantic pair ended their set, but not before covering “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” by Death Cab. It will be interesting to see where these boys will go!
Eric hopped off the stage but Andrew stayed on as the girls flocked to his feet. Andrew is also the singer in the headliner band Danger Radio. Didn't know what to expect from this Seattle Band but once i figured out that it consisted of six teenage boys I was intrigued.
Danger Radio rocked it, initially i thought of Modest Mouse - there were so many instruments and noises yet it sounded so fucking sharp musically. I was impressed, these kids knew what they were doing and it rocked. Andrew took on a completely different personality going from a romantic young boy to a rocking energizer bunny. The crowd was having fun and even I caught myself shaking my hips among the fifteen year old girls. CHECK THEM OUT, these kids will be on radio soon!
