Emerson Drive
Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox Saturday, July 11th

emerson drive7 Thoughts on Emerson Drive

Oh the Fox Theater! Even though the Fox was not as full as it is for most shows it was the first country show at the new theater and it was a great show.

Added bonus, my Mom’s favorite band was playing and she had a fantastic time; from me taking photos of the set list before the show started, to getting her that same set list to scrapbook at the end of the show.

Emerson Drive knows a thing or two about putting on a great show their stage presence was more energetic then a 21 year old that just had his first “bull blaster”.

Kudos to the violin player that smiled the entire show and posed for every picture someone tried to take of him. Anytime a lady would walk down the isle to take a photo of him he would pose smile.

Emerson Drive knows how to work a crowd and get the ladies dancing no surprise the band has been touring for over 15 years. I was 13 when they started touring.

emerson driveHighlights were a  breakdown of “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin at the end of a cover of “The Devil went down to Georgia” and a small acoustic set of cover songs they use to play when they were a bar band in the middle of the show.

This band loves what they do for a living and have had a rough road but stuck with it. They did not get their first hit song until a couple of years ago and still are grateful of that hit. They are a band with great passion for their craft.

If you have not heard Emerson Drive listen to the songs “Moments” and “I Should Be Sleeping”. If you love country music you will love this band.

Thank you Emerson Drive for playing the Fox Theater and next time there is a country show at the Fox; support the concert as we want to keep having great country acts playing at this great venue.

PS: They let you have beer at your seat the venue is not as stuffy as you think.
