Big Bang Big Band!
4th of July in Riverfront Park brings out the best of Spokane folk. Matt and I headed down to the park in almost 100 degree weather to catch Bobfest 2009 winners Green Light Go.
With a horn section and a bunch of boys up on stage including one barefooted kid they played to the early park risers.
Playing covers by Less Than Jake all the way to Reel Big Fish and some originals they definitely got the park kicking on a hot summer day. The boys were on stage to have a good time and to get the people in the park excited for the 4th of July Celebrations.
They threw out frisbees and had kids dancing up in the front row. I think there was even a stromtrooper bustin' some moves.
Their friends and family were there to support them and I thought it was a great way to start the day out with music. Glad I was able to catch them when I wasn't exhasuted after Doomsday Hill.
