John Tesh
The Bing Crosby Theater on Saturday, August 22nd

john tesh7 Thoughts About John Tesh In Concert

  1. First off this was one of those opportunities were you just cannot say no. When is it going to happen again where you are asked to take photos of John Tesh. The Entertainment Tonight Host, Radio DJ, PBS Concert performing, writer of the NBA on NBC Theme song John Tesh. Who would turn down that opportunity?

  2. The show started with a funny intro by his webmaster with a few jokes, tee-shirt throwing, website plugging and pranks. At this point I knew this was going to be a lot more entertaining that just your normal “new age” concert.

  3. John Tesh performed a few songs and he had an great band chalked full of pro’s.

  4. In between the songs he told a few stories about music, his radio show and his kids. When he got to the story about his daughter hip hop dancing I would have never thought I would see a Hip Hop dancer at a John Tesh show let along Tesh beat boxing while he was dancing. Up on the big screen behind the band jokes would fly as John Tesh would tell stories, and just talk to the audience. He would be talking about the structure of a song he wrote and the screen behind him would say, “John is a big music nerd”. He had the audience sing the first part of the NBA on NBC theme song for a ringtone you can download off I-Tunes and the screen would say this is a bad idea. Then after the audience failed and it sounded horrible it said “I told you so”. Just an interesting fun idea for a show!

  5. This was a show not a just concert, with audience participation, a hip hop dancing, John Tesh intelligence for your life facts this was a lot more entertaining then I could have ever imagined. When he performed the NBA on NBC Theme song “Roundball Rock” he had a kid dribble a basketball on stage and gave him an IPOD for performing a trick.

  6. I remember as a kid watching the NBA with my Dad and hearing the intro all the time. It was cool for John Tesh to tell the story of how he wrote that song. He heard they were looking for a theme song and he though of the song but did not have a tape recorder with him so he left a message on his answering machine singing the song. Who would have known that would put two of his kids through college.

  7. The show was very fun hearted and you can say what you want about John Tesh I know I was thinking that the show was going to be boring but it was not. It was entertaining with great sounding music (not necessarily the music I listen to) and I left having had a good time.
