6 Thoughts about Ottmar Liebert
1. The only thing I knew about Ottmar Liebert at the start of the year was that he was a guitar player that has come through town a few times before and that there is an autographed guitar of his hanging in the lobby of the radio station I work at.
2. Man I should have gone to his shows in years past. The concert was a blast and the stage at the Bing Crosby Theater had some of the best musicians I’ve ever seen.
3. The music is Timeless. Some of the songs are over 20 years old it reminds me of listening to some Lenord Cohen songs from the 80’s when Ottmar starts to play the electric guitar. It almost seems a little dated at first then you see the skill and talent and just get pulled in and really enjoy the songs.
4. After a long day at work I would like to thank Mr. Liebert for an amazing night out and during my walk home from the theater I felt so relaxed. The show had some of the easiest music to listen to. I just sat in awe in my seat and had a great time. It was one of the best ways to wind down after a long day.
5. Whether I was taking photos in the front row, balcony, or the back of the orchestra seating it sounded great every where in the Bing Crosby Theater. You could hear every detail of every song. Every pluck of a guitar string, every percussion instrument, the bass, everything sounded great. Kudos to the band and the sound guys for making the concert sound amazing.
6. The only complaint I would have about the entire show is when it’s over 90 degrees in Spokane man the balcony at the Bing is stuffy and hot.
