Le Train Train Quotidien and Wallace Vanborn
Wednesday, September 23rd at the Empyrean

Yep I can’t pronounce it either. Le Train Train Quotidien, I bet you that it would be hard to spell in a spelling bee too. However, the band doesn’t care if you don’t know how to say it so it’s all good. Letraintrianquotidien slightly reminds me of Death Cab for Cutie, just how the songs are structured. Great band for sitting down and enjoying a latte too.

Thanks to Matt I saw how the singer looped his guitar which is very cool. They band seemed like they were a group of good friends and they put on a relaxed simple set. It was quite the change from them to Wallace Vanborn.

Belgium’s Wallace Vanbron was a kick in the pants. Any rock music lover should have been at that show. They would have been blown away. This was their first show in America and they were missing half the band and using another bands gear. But after listening to their myspace I would say they owned the stage last night.

It was funny when there was supposed to be someone from the band playing an instrument they would tell us hey imagine this here or they would sing the part. It was great!

Love the sweet “oohs” and then rich yelling vocals, the combination fit together like puzzle pieces. The guys were rocking out on stage and dancing around it looked like fun. There was one little mishap though… a crazy drunk in the crowd that would get up a dance and try to get on stage. He kept yelling at the crowd because we were sitting. The singer from Wallace Vanborn said we were dancing on the inside. The drunk was kicked out.

Loved the thick accents that went along with their dancy, yet industrial rock. Plus they had an insanely talented drummer. I would love to see them again. I hope they come back to Spokane, but who knows they think Spokane is like Grand Theft Auto. Oh and we have bucks that look like monopoly money. It was cool to see kids from outside of the United States. As Matt said “They know how to rock!”
